- What is the catch with free?
- That we would like you to need the rest of it eventually. The editor is not crippled to make that happen — it is the same build, with the same tools, and nothing is stamped on your export.
- Does free expire?
- No. It is a plan, not a trial. There is no clock, and no card is required to install or to keep using it.
- What happens to my projects if I stop paying for Studio?
- They stay yours. The desktop app keeps opening them, keeps rendering locally, and keeps exporting without a watermark. What you lose is the cloud half — browser editing, priority 4K rendering, the monthly credits and the extra storage. Anything stored past the free gigabyte waits for you, read-only, for 28 days.
- Studio or Business?
- Studio is one person who makes content: the cloud editor, 1,000 credits a month, five social profiles and 100 GB. Business is a company: unlimited clients, invoices and projects, per-seat team members, and the AI staff you can hire — a Receptionist, a Growth Manager, an AI Engineer. If you only cut video, Free; if you also publish, Studio; if you run the business on it, Business.
- Can I be billed for something I did not ask for?
- No. Everything is paid for up front — a plan, a pack, a hire — and a card that declines pauses the paid part rather than running up a bill. There is no usage you discover on an invoice.
- Is my footage used to train anything?
- No. On the desktop app most of it never leaves your disk in the first place, and nothing you edit is used as training data.
- Why is Business priced like a business tool rather than an editor?
- Because that is what it is. It carries CNEX Flow — clients, quotes, invoices, projects, phone, calendar, the books and your people. If you only want to cut video, Free is the honest answer and we would rather say so.
